Hello Friends and Children of God,
Happy Sunday (or whatever today is) and blessings to you. I hope you had a blessed week and are ready for a new week of awesome adventures. I would love to share with you my best happy moments from last week. My favorite things seen, experienced, tasted, etc, and I’d love for you to share yours in my “March Sunday Show ‘n’ Tell” link-up that runs all month long. Hope you enjoy!
For St. Patrick’s Day, I made Lucky Charms pancake for breakfast, using this “Top o’ the Mornin Lucky Charms Pancakes” recipe. Who wouldn’t love green pancakes with lucky charms marshmallows in them? I scrambled some green eggs (green food dye), stir fried some green bell peppers and mushrooms, and voila, an absolutely delicious St. Patrick’s day breakfast.
My kids loved the pancakes!
Sticking with the same Lucky Charms theme, we also made Lucky Charm treats.
I decided to let them form in a cupcake pan, so that I wouldn’t have to worry about cutting them later.
They were yummy!
After breakfast and morning devotions (on St. Patrick’s Day), we learned more about St. Patrick using this St. Patrick Critical Thinking Packet, really informative stuff. So I guess, the kids really had St. Patrick on the brain, when they created their Lego interpretation of him. He was wearing a Leprechaun outfit. Just kidding, kids!
This picture features the sweet hardworking hands of my eight year old daughter. Learning and growing in her cooking skills. She wanted to make us a fruit salad for breakfast.
I whipped up some poached eggs and bacon to go with the salad. Love bacon, eat it only once a week though, as a special breakfast treat.
Doesn’t it just look delicious!
Check out my daughter’s two fabulous hairstyles this week. I did the first one, which she wore to church and a friend of mine did the second one. She is way better at parting straight lines than I am.
Yes, you guessed it, that is my daughter’s doll wearing a body paint (nail polish) swim suit. I got that really cool idea from here. I would love to tell you more about this and share some other interesting things I did with my daughter’s dolls in my post called “Look What I did With My daughter’s dolls.”
